The right priorities for your project.

From priority to delivery.

I’m Kevin De Meu, a freelance IT Project Lead and Product Owner. I lead IT projects from idea to delivery: I set the right priorities, make sure the right decisions are taken quickly, and make sure things actually get delivered. For startups, scale-ups and corporates.

What I do for you

I work exclusively as a freelancer, through my company Priojects BV. You can bring me in as a project lead or as a product owner, in agile and SAFe environments.

IT Project Lead / Epic Owner

I lead an IT project from idea to go-live. I build the business case, translate policy and business needs into requirements, and align with the IT teams. I keep track of timing, scope and budget, and I work across teams, including Legal, Compliance and Risk. I keep stakeholders on board, up to director level.

  • SAFe
  • Epic ownership
  • Business cases
  • Budget management
  • Project governance
  • Steering committee reporting
  • Cross-functional teams
  • Mobile banking
  • Jira and Confluence
  • Generative AI

IT Product Owner

I make sure the development team works on the right things, in the right order. I turn the product vision into a clear backlog, weigh new requests and protect the team’s focus. After go-live, I keep improving the product based on what users and customers need.

  • Product management
  • Feature prioritization
  • MVP-delivery
  • Mobile apps
  • Web analytics
  • Product demos and pre-sales
  • Jira and Confluence
  • Generative AI

For startups and scale-ups, I’m also a hands-on all-rounder: I pick up whatever needs doing, even when it falls outside a job description. With generative AI, for example, I can quickly set up a brand identity, website or flyers, as I did for Volt&Velo and Priojects.

About me

I’m Kevin De Meu, based in Zottegem, Belgium. After my master’s in Management and IT at Ghent University, I started in pre-sales and grew into Product Owner and Project Manager roles. Since 2023 I’ve worked as a freelancer through my own company, Priojects BV.

The name says what it’s about: Priojects stands for priorities and projects. Set the right priorities, and the project gets delivered.

I’m also fluent with generative AI, and it delivers results. In projects, I use AI to work out business requirements in more detail, always within the client’s rules. I also created the Priojects branding, this website and my business cards myself, with AI as a tool.

Difficult situations don’t put me off; if anything, they draw me in. When something is new to me, I figure it out fast and quickly find a way forward.

From priority to delivery

I follow a project across the whole chain, so nothing gets lost between what the business wants and what IT builds.

  1. 1

    Policy or idea

What needs to be achieved, and why now? Together we decide what really takes priority.

  2. 2

    Business requirements

I work out the needs with the business, so everyone knows what will be built, and what won’t.

  3. 3

    Translation to IT

I translate the requirements into work for the IT teams and clear blockers as soon as they appear.

  4. 4

    Delivery

I steer on timing, scope and budget until the solution is live and in use.

What you can expect from me

  • I keep stakeholders aligned up to director level and anticipate the steering committee’s questions.
  • I lead management and director-level meetings with confidence.
  • I deliver strategic projects on time.
  • I clear blockers, even when they sit with another team.
  • I guide teams through difficult project phases.
  • I keep a cool head under a heavy workload and help teams make good decisions fast.

In practice

A new app, live in three months

At Conundra I became Product Owner early in my career, with a clear brief: rebuild and redesign the app for delivery drivers. We went from a flat delivery list to a modern app. Drivers see their route, open their navigation app straight from a link, orders update automatically based on their location, and a QR scanner provides proof of delivery. After three months, the first customer was live in production with an MVP.

A three-year problem, solved

At KBC, marketing campaigns had been running into a deep-link problem for about three years. I investigated what went wrong and traced the cause to the technical architecture. The code was fixed and I wrote the documentation for end users. Now it’s clear to everyone, and there’s one agreed way of working.

Structure within weeks

When I joined Codifly, the developers didn’t yet have a fixed way of working. I introduced to-do lists, structured meetings and standard meeting slides. Within a few weeks we were working in clear sprints, with a clear timeline for clients.

Helping another team out

A web form had been set up incorrectly in the content management system. The colleague who built it was on holiday and nobody else knew how to fix it. I figured it out and fixed it myself.

Taking the numbers into my own hands

At KBC I set up Adobe Analytics dashboards for my projects myself, because experts were scarce and had no time. Earlier, I taught myself Google Analytics to analyse a website’s strengths and weaknesses.
